I drafted 5 questions and asked Wes and Ms. Unger if they could email me the answers by the end of this week. Hopefully this will add a more personal perspective and from brief conversation I think they support the decreasing of the drinking age.
Also, when I was researching before I found it hard to find logical arguments against the laws passing. But I found a lot of credible arguments on the MADD (mothers against drunk driving) site last night. I am definitely going to use this for my draft due on friday. Tonight I am going to work on the essay, and hopefully finish at least 3 pages.

Bailey,
I like your idea about interviewing Mr. Priest and Ms. Unger about their opinion on this law. Like you said, even though they are not college professors, they still have their opinions on the issue. So far, your topic seems very interesting and I will be curious to see how your draft turns out on Friday!

Bailey,
I agree with Erin and i also like your idea about asking the teachers for their opinions. Lowering the drinking age has been a question in our society for a while and i am interested in hearing about the different views that the people you interview have. Keep up the good work!

It sounds like you have a good start on your paper. When I think of lowering the drinking age I always think about the argument with the army. If people that are 18 can die for their country shouldn't they be allowed to drink legally? I am sure you have probably already added this in your paper, but it is what first comes to mind.

I think that it is really cool that you took the initiative to go and asking teachers their opinion over the drinking age being reduced. I also think it is good that you are finding finding other opinions against the age being decreased but mothers against drunk driving I don't think focusing on the age of drinking so i would be careful about that.
